A day after the publishing of the Constitutional Court Act, Kosovo's Parliament has announced that the constitutional session will be held on Wednesday, where the election of chairman and deputy chairman of the legislature will be in order.
So far, the deputies of the Vetevendosje Movement have indicated they will not withdraw from Albulen Hadziu's candidacy for the chief parliament, while opposition parties demand respect for the Constitutional Act. President Vjosa Osmani has sought responsibility from MPs and has named the institution's constitutionalisation as state emergency.
The next constitutional session will be held at 11: 00 p.m., the day after the execution of the court case in the official newspaper. The Assembly Administration has announced that the agenda includes the election of chairman and deputy chairman of the legislature.
Under the Constitutional Act, the Parliament must be constitutionalised within 30 days, while the right of the proposal to the chief parliament belongs to the Vetevendosje Movement as the largest parliamentary group after the February 9th elections. The prosecution limits candidacy for chairman to three votes.
The only candidate so far proposed by Vetevendosje is Albulen Haxhiu, who has failed to get the 61 votes needed. MP Arber Raj has announced about REL that in the course of the hearing on August 20th, Vetevendosje will again propose Haxhi as chairman.
If within three times, Mrs. Haxhiu is not resolved, we will certainly discuss the future action within the” parliamentary group, he has said.
Opposition parties, including The PDK, they said that “we will be at the level of office coming to the Assembly and making serious efforts to get out of this situation of political stalemate”.
“Of course it is constitutional obligation that elected MPs respect, are firm obligations that we will consider.”, said PDK deputy Blerta Deliu-Codra.
“are unintelligible and dangerous to democracy stone attacks, lynching and attempting that the Constitutional Court's act of judgment be degraded and proven to be lynched by Vetevendosje's exhibit”.
It has warned the pro-parliamentary vote only if Vetevendosje changes the candidate, clarifying that MPs who were part of government Kurti 2.
In the first hearings when Mrs. Haxhiu's name was put under vote we voted against. There are six sessions which The PDK, with its political will, has voted against Mrs. Haxhiu. We have not become part of the vote only when it has been proven to be violated, not only the rules of the Parliament's Rule, but has tried to violate Kosovo's Constitution -- that is, by imposing a vote that we did not agree to” -- has added Deliu-Codra.
The LDK has announced that it will not vote on any Vetevendosje candidate for Parliament Speaker without political agreement.
“We like LDK have decided: we don't vote any name without agreement. This is our consistent stance”, said Jehona Lushaku-Sadriu in T7.
AAK MP Time Kadrijaj has reacted after the Constitutional Court's ruling, stressing that the act of prejudice is mandatory and must be respected.
Through a Facebook post, she has demanded an end to political blockades Wednesday and start work on the new Parliament.
The Constitutional Court has spoken, and it has shown us the way out of the storm where we're headed. Her judgment, whether we like it or not, is mandatory and should be respected. The 30-day deadline is more than enough for new proposals and the constitution. The Alliance as a parliamentary party will make its contribution, both by vote, to unblock the parliament's constitutionalised constitution, implementing the Constitutional Court's decision, which was initiated months ago by us. Any other action is against state interests and as unacceptable and punishable! Tomorrow, political games have to end and start work the new parliament and the government's creation path opens up! ”, wrote Kadrijaj.
The presidency, which considers the issue <x0 state emergency”, has reacted to the case./Periscopi/
