“There's time to waste”, “To act in line with”, international reactions following the Constitutional Court's decision

The European Union's office in Kosovo has called on political parties to respect the Constitutional Court's decision and work on reaching a compromise and the necessary majority in order to move quickly into the process of electing the Speaker and Deputy Speakers of the Parliament.
The Constitutional Court has spoken and provided significant clarifications. The EU calls on all political parties represented in the Kosovo Assembly to respect this decision and find the compromise and the majority needed to quickly continue the process of electing the Speaker and deputy heads of the Parliament. The German Embassy in Kosovo has reacted after the Constitutional Court's visit to the institutional stalemate in the Kosovo Assembly, stressing the need for responsible action and political co-operation in the function of resolving the situation.
The German Embassy has declared that the Constitutional Court's decision is procedural and now belongs to politicians to act in accordance with it.
We estimate that the Constitutional Court has come up with a procedural decision. Now politicians must act accordingly so that Kosovars can finally get the parliament they voted for six months ago,” said in the embassy's statement on RTK.
Also called for finding a feasible solution within the constitutional deadline, as well as for building a consensus that will end the political blockade.
“We expect a feasible solution within the deadline and call on all political actors to act towards a compromise,” completes the response.
The Constitutional Court today ruled that Kosovo Parliament deputies should elect the new chairman through open voting, while the same candidate could only be voted three times.
According to the Constitution, the constitution should be completed within 30 days.
