In a post published today, Bajrami writes that some individuals have wrongly interpreted her letter, viewing it as directed only at one party.
I want to explain clearly: My letter had no political overtones. I headed Prime Minister and President because they are the highest heads of state and bear institutional responsibility”, she points out.
Bajrami underlines that its sole goal is to adopt the law for children with special needs and support of projects serving them. This law should be voted no matter who is in power, because it has nothing to do with party interests, but with the life of our children and the dignity of their families,” she writes.
Stressing that she is not dealing with politics, the singer says she is raising her voice as a mother, as a citizen, and as a representative of many families facing similar challenges.
This response comes a day after its open letter, where it criticised the political class for the prolonged institutional crisis in Kosovo and called for urgent adoption of the law on disabled children, as well as support for the Halil Kastrati humanitarian project.
