Tahiri through a Facebook post has called this action “a serious injustice and a conscious dropout act”.
“Today, citizens who will protest in the public against this injustice will also shout against another serious injustice towards Kosovo Liberation Army leaders. The total non-paying of their protection at the Special Court is an institutional embarrassment and an act of consciousness of abandonment. For this injustice, Albin Kurti and Albulen Haxhiu have refused to fulfill legal and moral obligations to the protection of those who fought for our freedom. This is a stain that time will only deepen for Albin, Albulena and all those who remain silent in the face of this injustice.”, Tahiri has declared, accusing institutional leaders of silence and irresponsibly.
He also voiced support for the protest of citizens who today will gather at the square to raise their voices to this injustice, as well as to the processes under way against former KLA leaders at the Special Court. But the sun will rise again. And our deliverers will have in our free and independent Kosovo where they deserve to be!”, Tahiri concluded.
