Former Kosovo Democratic Party Parliamentary Group chief Abelard Tahiri, invited to “RTK Prime” spoke of the prospect and attitude of his political subject in efforts to forge the country's institutions, with particular emphasis on the Kosovo Assembly. He said the PDK has made the biggest step today in establishing the country's institutions, in the interest of citizens of the country, rather than political parties.

Regarding LVV deputy Dimal Basha's election to the Speaker of the Parliament, Tahiri said the PDK had initially made it clear that it would not vote on any LVV candidate for head of the Assembly, who have been part of the executive and parliamentary Group's chief in previous legislation. “We have read towards the Constitutional Court in 2014, that the party, which has the majority of MPs, has the right to proposal for chairman of the Assembly,”.

Tahiri spoke of the flow of sessions that have been held so far, when Dimal Basha was elected chief speaker.

“We were clear even on Sunday when it was proposed, where I've asked for a 10-minute pause to agree with all the parliamentary groups and representatives of the parties part of the Kosovo Assembly, to ask the LVV once more if it's safe for the head of the Parliament to give a figure like Dimal Basha, because we considered there were other figures more worthy of the Speaker of the Kui country, but other deputies, except for two, are the same level of Basher, and we didn't get an answer from the LV for that day and we didn't keep the former PDK's word, the former PDK chief said.

He further explained that even at today's session The PDK had indicated that a pause and consultancy would be required before the start of the session with the heads of parliamentary groups and the chairman of the session to make sure Dimal Basha's candidacy for the chief parliament, but that counseling was not realised.

“We're not blocking the Assembly, we're not the ones that have political resentments, we're the ones that have the clear resonance and clear intentions. The country needs institutions,” said Tahiri, until it added that it is the first time the largest party in the Kosovo Parliament does not have the parliamentary majority and chooses the Speaker of the Parliament.

Whether Basha's election to the Speaker of the Assembly was accidental, Tahiri said he could not consider it, until his party was nominated twice in a row, while denying having consulted with other political subjects for Basha's proposal for chief parliament.

Whether the Constitution has been violated with the non-election of Kosovo's deputy chairman from the Serb community, with the division of minority community deputies, Tahiri explained about the way their elections were made in the past -- the practice of voting in the Kosovo Assembly -- until today, according to him, this practice has been changed with the leadership of Parliament's president, Dimal Basha.

Tahiri added that it benefits incumbent Prime Minister Albin Kurti, because he is interested in having another new case for the Constitutional Court, to delay the establishment of domestic institutions further because, according to him, he does not have the numbers for the government.

Why did he have to split minority voting, because he doesn't have government numbers and he doesn't want the hot potato in his hands, because the real crisis is if Kurti could create the government,” said Tahiri.

He, among other things, ruled out the possibility of forming ruling coalitions with Vetevendosje, because, according to him, it would not help the country./Periscopi/
