A Serb has been arrested at the Merdare border checkpoint as a war crimes suspect against the civilian population in Kosovo. As Kosovo Special Prosecutor and Police announced, the suspect has been detained for 48 hours and is being investigated for crimes committed on April 6, 1999, in the municipality of Vushtrri, the Mitrovica region.

The detainee is Sinisa Spasic, who, according to the investigation, served as active reserve at the Serbian MUP.
