The AGK has strongly condemned this arbitrary RTK Management decision, saying it represents an unprecedented level of censorship in the public broadcaster, while calling on the management to withdraw from the decision.
“The AGK sees Management action as punishing 6 journalists for their professional, politically undicted work and for raising the voice for the salary delay. This is a new testimony to the long-standing concern of AGK, that the current management has been put in full service to Kurti Government, and the political party in power, Vetevendosje. The Kosovo Journalists' Association invites Management to review and withdraw this decision, and enable journalists and editors to do their job in the public's interest, without the continued political impact”, it says in response.
AGKA has said it will support journalists' colleagues in all steps they will take to challenge this unacceptable and politically influenced decision.
Otherwise, six RTK journalists and editors have denounced alarming censorship in RTK by power-related management. Director RTK, Relind Gervalla, is a former member of the Vetevendosje Movement.
Through reactions they have shared on Facebook, Blerta Foniqi Kabashi, Meneta Zekaj Nushi, Jehona Dzizia, Edona Musa, Arton Mulliqi and Valon Bajrami, have announced that on Friday they have been excluded from the mode of emissions, a 5: 00 p.m. warehouse and 23:00 news.
According to them, they have received warnings about the removal of programme schemes of information warehouses, whenever interviews with guests from the ruling party have been conducted, who have expressed disappointment at the professional confrontation. The latest interview was carried out by Blerta Foniqi Kabashi with VV's deputy, Victory Pacolli, who was launched during the interview in attacks on journalist./Periscopi/
