Jobloaded at the American Embassy, Annu Prattipati, has expressed concern over the trends she has said have appeared in order for Serbian parties to be barred from participating in the 12 October local elections.
In a statement after the meeting he had with incumbent Prime Minister Albin Kurti, she has said it has made clear that it is extremely important that Kosovo Serbs participate in the election.
“With the prime minister in office we have discussed actions, which we understand the incumbent prime minister and Vetevendosje Movement are considering to exclude some of the political parties from participating in the upcoming local elections. Be clear, we believe all Kosovo citizens should have the full opportunity to choose their elected representatives. It is very important that Kosovo Serbs get involved in this process and we are concerned about any attempt that limits their elections. I've made these points clear to the incumbent prime minister and highlighted US attention to this matter”, Prattipati said./Periscopi/
