In response it has also been said that continuing to operate RTK is essential to Kosovo's democratic life and credibility, as well as to transparent governance and media reputation

The OSCE Mission in Kosovo welcomes the provisional Government's decision to adopt, in principle, a temporary loan to support Kosovo Radio Television (RTK) and facilitate the ongoing serious financial situation. RTK as a public broadcaster has a vital role to play, enabling free expression, democratic debate and impartial information for all communities.
Continued operation is essential to Kosovo's democratic life and credibility, transparent governance and media reputation. As a road forward, we encourage steps towards a stable and transparent funding model that protects RTK's independence and role in public service.
