Rohde: Take EU draft to Constitution, and I am convinced that Kosovo will be in KiE

Germany's ambassador to Kosovo, Jorn Rohde, has declared that Kosovo has lost its opportunity to join the Council of Europe this year.

In an interview for the Info Magazine show in Klan Kosova, he stressed that Kosovo institutions should have sent the draft session of Serb Majority municipalities status to the Constitutional Court a key step towards membership in this European organisation.

Rohde said sending the draft for review into the Constitution would be a first step needed to move forward in this process, for which he remains optimistic.

We have said: Once this first step is taken, sending it to your judge (the Constitutional Court) for investigation, we will respect the Court's decision 100 percent. We will have an extraordinary meeting on the Council of Europe and will postpone membership, and I am convinced that Kosovo will pass,” said Rohde./Periscopi/
