The previous tender was cancelled a month ago, as none of the bids it presented proved successful.
The 17km-long new highway was expected to be closed by 2028. The passage of this concession has been under way since 2018, when the unconventional proposal for the construction of this highway arrived, and from then on this project has remained only in tender stage.
Proposed trace of the “milot-Beldre” road starts in the Milot node, where it will connect to other Milot-Thuman road segments - Kashar-Lekaj and the Nation's Road, and will end up on the existing Tirana road, in Balldre.
