In its announcement, Oda emphasises that this decision reflects a strategic commitment to advancing trade relations with Kosovo's closest political and economic partner.
By removing customs tariffs for American goods, Kosovo not only strengthens its authenticity as a reliable and open partner for American businesses, but also creates new opportunities for domestic consumers and companies to crack down on American quality products, and at more competitive prices. At the same time, this measure paves the way for increased trade flows, technological exchanges and investments in key sectors, which will benefit both countries' economies”, the report said.
According to Oda, this Government decision is also an answer to calls made earlier by this organisation to establish a preferential trade relationship, which can pave the way for a future free trade agreement with the US. /Periscope/
