In an interview in Tv1, Rassic indicated he would run for the third time for deputy speaker of the assembly, as he did not violate the country's Constitution.
While Rassic said that in conversations he developed with his colleagues, they have an impression of his work, Periscope broadcasts.
“They are reluctant to vote on me because they think they will violate the Constitution, even though I am repeating every time it is absolutely not the case where the Constitution is violated, instead I understand the political scheme, but all have become the Constitution's expert and are commenting and are reluctant to comment on it. There is absolutely no violation of the Constitution, even though I do not have the majority of Serbian MP's votes yet I can run.
I'll run for the third time for deputy speaker of the assembly, if I don't get a vote I don't know what option would then be... In the phone conversations I've made with my colleagues there's a sympathy in the work I've done”, Rassic has declared.
Otherwise, on Thursday MP Nenad Rassic failed to secure the support needed to be elected deputy head of the Parliament.
Rassic received 56 votes, 1 against and 20 abstentions, failing to secure the required majority. However, the speaker of the assembly estimated that Rassic has received more votes than the other candidates who were involved in the process through the lots, adding that the <x0-voltages are the largest deputies to Nenad Raspih”. /Tave1
