Rama in an interview for Kosovo Press said that for stoppages to the capital, someone should go to jail.
Among other things, Rama also cited blocking the capital's hospital project, which the Ministry of Internal Affairs failed to complete.
“With a German company and local company, together with the capital, we have completed the project. The project was estimated at some 75 million, and we had a trip along with President Osmani to Qatar where we discussed the possibility of their donations to help us in different areas and my request was for the capital hospital. Amy's teams have been here willing to make an investment, to help us with this project because we've shown them the project printed. The moment they were looking for the whole project and we asked the Ministry of Internal Affairs, they didn't give us the project. It means the minister of internal affairs blocked it, didn't give us the project we would have received all those funds to build the hospital with. Minister Svechla's blocking it, which means he doesn't give us the project. The project that was paid by our taxpayers, we citizens paid for that project and they block it. They block it and lose an opportunity for a 70-75m-euro donation. Again, political blockades. That's why I'm starting to think these people aren't normal, making these blockades for political issues”.
When asked how it is facing these blockades, Rama said there are alternative methods of funding stemming from private investments or from the municipal assembly, but stressed that he would not allow these illegal blockades to continue, and therefore he has filed even a lawsuit against incumbent Finance Minister Iron Murati.
We have other methods that are generally the capital that we have to push forward. Now we're starting with lawsuits, court courts, because these blockades, these stops are illegal. So one of them is going to go to jail as a result of these blockades that these illegal things have to fight, and we're fighting them now. We have also indicted the finance minister for blocking the budget. And the moment someone goes into prison there, you see how they open up all the possibilities because what they're doing, they're doing illegal, and we're not going to allow that to”
