In a joint statement, QUINT called on the government to withdraw Albin Kurti and other parties to refrain from further steps preventing party registration.
The “Embassys of France, Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom and the United States, together with the EU Office in Kosovo, express their concern about the efforts of political actors to limit competition among political parties representing non-competitive communities before local elections on October 12th. Any such act to exclude certain communities undermine democratic principles and erode trust in Kosovo institutions”, it says in response.
QU The INT has encouraged the affected parties to address PZAP and demand compensation.
“We expect the outgoing government and all political parties to refrain from further steps that could prevent party registration. All procedures must be conducted strictly in accordance with the Central Election Commission's rules and mandate. At the same time, we encourage the affected parties to fully exploit the Anques and Electoral Parasettes panel to demand compensation”.
