The municipality says the agreement reached between them and bus companies has not been unilateral.
According to them, it is a clear violation of municipal rules and bilateral agreements.
This agreement has not been unilateral, but has been reached as a result of a wide multilateral process where they have been involved: The Pristina municipality, the Podujevo municipality, the Ministry of Environment and Space Planning, as well as the Association of Transport Operators. Recent reports showing that some operators from Podujevo aim to bypass the Pristina Bus station and stop in the Llap Mosque are disturbing and constitute clear violations of municipal rules and bilateral agreements. ”
The municipality further says such actions will not be allowed and will take legal and administrative measures.
The municipality adds that the MPMH should review and revote all operators' licenses that do not respect the route and starting point, which according to the municipality is and remains Pristina Bus station
We show that such actions will not be allowed. The municipality will take all legal and administrative measures needed to ensure that all inter-urban buses, without exception, stop at the official bus station in Pristina for the capture and launch of travelers. Unauthorized bans within the city centre pose a threat to safety in traffic, public order and urban transport planning. We also remember that the centre of Pristina cannot accommodate interurban transport, due to city development dynamics, increased flow of tools and the need for sustainable public space management. In this direction, we stress that the MPMH should review and react to all operators' licenses that do not respect the route and starting point of departure, which is and remains the Pristina Bus station. Disrespecting this obligation makes operating license invalid. We also remember that the Podujevo Community has not yet given final answers to the draft of the joint agreement, which makes it even more important to observe existing rules and the provisional agreement in force. We call on all transport operators to respect the rules and co-operate constructively. The Pristina municipality remains open to dialogue, but will act decisively to protect citizens' interests and maintain order in public transportation. ”/Periscopi/
