Prisoner escape: Mitrovica's Centre of Pre-ERm Centre, Three Officials Disfellowshipped

Four officials have been suspended today, the director of the Mitrovica Centre for Prosecution, a senior supervisor and two correctional officials because the detention centre in Mitrovica has escaped in detention D.R.

According to the SHKK, the “prisoner was sentenced to 14 years and 6 months in prison, of which he had remained three years and 7 months. He was classified as advanced and, at the moment of his escape, was working on the institution's workspace. He was also on the list of convicts who could obtain parole”.

Immediately after its absence was concluded, all internal operational procedures have been activated and relevant security institutions have been announced, the announcement follows.

Kosovo's “Correcting Service has started internal investigations to whiteen the circumstances of the event and will take all necessary measures to address this case, in line with the legislation in force. Until the investigation is completed, the institution's director, a senior overseer and two correctional officials remain suspended from task”, the announcement concludes.
