Ukrainian President Voldymyr Zelensky spent the morning thanking various world leaders for their message of support on Ukraine's Independence Day.
Earlier, the Ukrainian president discovered a letter sent to King Charles, in which the British monarch said he felt the greatest and deepest <x0) admiration for the courage and the invincible spirit of the Ukrainian people”.
Zelensky has also shared letters from Pope Leo, US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping.
Referring to the ongoing struggle in his message, Pope Leo says he hopes that the <x0m-brillation of weapons will be silent and will pave the way for dialogue, paving the way to peace”.
Similarly, Trump says that “now is the time to end meaningless murders”, calling for a negotiated “solution that leads to a lasting and lasting peace that ends bloodshed and protects Ukraine's sovereignty and dignity”.
In Xi's letter, a close ally of Russian President Vladimir Putin, there is no mention of war in Ukraine, which China has been publicly neutral since it began. /Periscopi/
