Pacolli: Today, more than ever, we need political action by someone who listens and acts responsibly

Parmes a Facebook post, Pacolli says we are living at a time when politics in Kosovo has turned into an internal power struggle rather than as an attempt to build a common future.

“We have lost strategic direction, while the political parties in power and opposition are acting like permanent campaigns. Dialogue with Serbia has stabilised, European integration is far away, and citizens are getting tired of unfulfilled promises”, Pacolli writes away.

In addition, the former president of Kosovo, says our institutions need accountability, for more transparency, without political arrogance.

The judiciary has interference claims, it does not function freely, corruption is very present in institutions, and young people are leaving the country because they see no hope. Kosovo does not deserve this impasse. She deserves the policy that serves the citizen, not herself. It deserves unity when it comes to major national interests. There is no time for personal ego or divisive language. Today, more than ever, we need political action by someone who listens, reflects, and acts responsibly. Because only then can we talk to the future!
