During this meeting, Osmani stressed the need to advance Kosovo's European integration process, as well as stressed the importance of removing unfair measures, which are affecting mostly citizens of the Republic of Kosovo.
“Under discussion, the process of restoring the Assembly and other institutions was discussed, as well as the importance of these institutions functioning democraticly to advance common goals. The president also addressed the issue of arbitrary arrests of Kosovo citizens on the part of Serbia, calling for the international community's commitment so that Serbia can stop these illegal actions against Kosovo citizens”, the presidency's announcement said.
The first state said that “Kosovo remains committed to its European path and essentially oriented towards democratic reforms, which should be rewarded with concrete steps on the part of the European Union”.
“Tutje, President Osmani underlined the importance of Kosovo's integration into international organisations, with particular emphasis on the Council of Europe, as well as other important organisations”, said further in the statement.
In terms of dialogue, Osman stressed the importance of a fair and impartial process, setting clear goals, which would also contribute to the advancement of peace, stability and the region's European perspective as a whole.
