The Albanian MP in Serbia's Parliament, Shaip Kamberi, through a Facebook post, has published a site where he can report the follow-up of addresses in Presevo Valley.
He said that the equipment being exercised there, on the part of Serbia's state authorities, as he said, represents the sophisticated method of silent ethnic cleansing.
“Raportin assimilation on the KDNJ page: avoidpage.com. Passing that, in recent years, is being exercised to Albanians in the Presevo Valley on the part of Serbia's state authorities represents the sophisticated method of silent ethnic cleansing”, he wrote.
Kamberi also said that the creation of equal living conditions, through fair and proportional integration into public and state institutions, were, as it were, the basic positions of the three signed agreements.
“Although since the end of the armed conflict, Albanian political representatives, with the mediation of even friendly embassies operating in Belgrade, have signed several agreements with the government in Belgrade, the lack of political will at Serbia's helm has caused these agreements to be ignored. Establishing equal living conditions, through fair and proportional integration into public and state institutions, were the basic attitudes of three signed agreements. Governments in Belgrade continued to testify that even signed agreements, and the programmes approved by it, violate and disrespect”.
The “against that, instead of the affirmative measures company to improve the position of Albanians, Serbia's Ministry of Internal Affairs, dramatically misusing the provisions of the Law for settlement and residence has launched the process of applying addresses for thousands of Albanians, this administrative approach to ethnic cleansing or the population of the Presevo Valley”.
This process, not only by the political and institutional representative of Albanians but also by civil society in Serbia, observers abroad and international institutions have been described as violating basic human rights, since it is being implemented selectively towards Albanians living in the Presheva Valley”, Camber wrote.
He said that transgression of addresses affects the loss of many civil rights, as well as the loss of voting rights.
The follow-up of this whole trick is the attempt that through selectively applying addresses to Albanians, a false mirror of the demographic structure, which does not necessarily coincide with the actual situation on the ground. Posting addresses affects loss of civil rights, as well as losing the right to vote”.
Beyond this extremely harmful discrimination process, the representation of Albanians in the local government in Medvedja has been marginalised, along with eight asemps in the municipal Assembly in 2018, already represented by only two. Thus, it is evident that the failure of addresses is the mechanism through which Belgrade is committing the depopulation of these municipalities by Albanians. This is a crime”.
To eliminate this process and its harmful consequences, every day with our daily commitment we need to reduce national and international opinion. To be successful, our commitment to intercommunication of this problem is also needed to co-operate with each citizen affected by the postequement process. Therefore, for reporting cases or even legal councils, they must appear on the platform designed for the launch of the Human Rights Council in the Valley www.passing.com. The crime being committed must be witnessed. The strongest testimony is the statement of people affected by this process”, Camberi said further./Periscopi/
