The Information and Private Agency (AIP) has recorded several cases of digital fraud that circulate on social networks and online platforms, using the names of public characters, known businesses and fake credit offers.
According to AIP, the most frequent forms of fraud are: misuse of images of artists for fraud ads, false credit offers on behalf of banks, posts promising vouchers on behalf of Marks like “VivaFesh” and “ETC”, as well as online competitions that collect personal data using noted institutions and companies logos.
The AIP appeals to citizens to check official sources, verify credit bids and gifts, not share personal data, check the addresses of the pages, do not interact with suspicious content, and report any cases of fraud.
“We are committed to protecting personal citizens' data and their security, and we will continue co-operation with institutions for identifying fraudulent sites and taking legal measures against violators,” reportedly in the Agency's announcement. / RTK/ Periscope.
