Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed on Monday that a decision has been made on the full invasion of Gaza's Belt, including military operations in areas believed to have been held hostage.
“We are engaged to free Gaza from the tyranny of these terrorists”, Netanyahu said in a video address posted on X.
A lot of Gaza residents come to us and say help us get out. Help us get rid of Hamasie and that's what we're gonna do. ”
The prime minister's office also said in a message to Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir: “if that doesn't suit you, then you should resign”.
Netanyah's announcement comes after months of poor talks in Qatar between Israel and Hamas, as mediators try to overcome obstacles on both sides and reach a ceasefire and an agreement on the release of hostages, while the humanitarian situation in the Strip deteriorates. /Periscopi/
