The Constitutional Court in Pristina has assigned 30 days of detention to Ramadan Morina, the accused of participating in the Malisheva Burim massacre.
The special prosecutor, Kastrio Memaj, and the defendant's lawyer, Arian Koci, were not declared after the hearing for the security measure's appointment.
“R.M., allegedly during the war in Kosovo, in the period 29-31 March 1999, in co-ordination with members of Serbian police and military forces, has participated in the massacre of 34 Albanian civilians in the village of Burim, the Malisheva municipality”, the Prosecutor said earlier, while stressing that material evidence has been provided during the investigation phase, including eyewitnesses and survivors.
The session is kept closed to the media.
