In a video published by Indexline, Kurti and Murati are seen communicating directly with Basha, who had just assumed the post of mayor from the Vetevendosje ranks.
The clashes occurred during the vote to elect the deputy chairman of the assembly from the ranks of the Serb community. Kurti's party, the Vetevendosje Movement, wanted Nenad Rassic to be elected in this position, while Igor Symun from the Serbian List insisted three times in a row to be nominated Slavko Sivre.
The latter, however, received no votes from Albanian party deputies, leaving his candidacy without sufficient support.
