On August 20th, the United Education Union has set the Ministry of Education to start dialogue on the demands of education workers expires. Unionists warn new measures, even strike, if meetings do not begin. On the other hand, Education Minister Arberie Nagavci says negotiations will be conducted only on legal grounds and not under pressure.
The SBASK has set August 20th as the last date for launching dialogue with the Ministry of Education. If that does not happen, the Union Steering Council will meet to decide on further steps, not excluding even the strike.
“The SBASK has held an extraordinary congress and it has been decided that unless you start dialogue with the Ministry of Education by August 20th, then the Steering Council will decide on further actions, not excluding either strike”, said Vjollca Shala, deputy head of the SBASK.
According to her, the main requirements include signing the new collective contract, raising the value of the cofficient in the Law of Salaries, and implementing the Constitutional Court's decisions on labour experience.
On the other hand, Education Minister Arberie Nagavci says the SBASK is repeating the same scenario before every start of the school year and that collective contracts of the past are signed under irregular conditions.
This is nothing new, we've been taught for years already for every September and especially for cases where we have the Government in office or at the time of elections, the SBASK, the leadership of the SBASK, are extremely vocal with such statements. Meanwhile, we know that the last three collective contracts have been signed in time of campaigns or in time of government duty, which have not even been ignored by legal procedures, nor has it become their census that are already creating numerous problems in municipalities. We've had meetings with the SBASK we'll meet again if necessary, however, our decisions and actions will be based on order and law rather than blackmail and more political pressures than content. ”
Minister Nagavci denies that she has avoided meeting with the union, but stresses that any negotiations should be legally sustainable. With the new school year starting soon, the dilemma remains whether students will return to their banks normally or face another strike in education. /rtk/Periscopi/
