Today's morning, the Podujevo-Pristina Bus Transporters' Association protested in front of the Pristina municipality, rejecting the decision to stop at the Llap Mosque.
At the media conference, Lushaku said there is room for dialogue on two key issues: stopping illegal taxis a common concern between the municipality and the Bus Association, as well as discussing the possibility that some lines contracted by the Pristina municipality do not enter Podujevo territory.
Lushaku said that a return of buses to the Llap Mosque could not be allowed, as in his view such an action would pave the way for similar demands from other cities, further exacerbating Pristina's already busy traffic, reports Kosovo, broadcast Periscope.
He said that in areas where these buses are assigned to operate, there are all signs showing stops, although physically there is no built station.
Lushaku has indicated that the situation on the ground will continue to be monitored by police in co-operation with the Communist Inspectorate. He has warned that any attempts to block roads or traffic tape will immediately be addressed with concrete measures, including the removal of billboards.
