46 thousand and 15 Kosovo citizens from 46 different states of the world are registered to vote through post office in local elections for mayors and municipal congregations.
This figure has become known after the completion of the registration deadline by CEC spokesman Valmir Elezi, who has said about The KP, that final data will be released in the first week of September, on the occasion of the certificate of voter list.
“From July 23rd and until the end of the deadline, 29 August, through the CEC's electronic platform has been accepted 56,778 voter registration applications, of which 46,015 have already been approved, while another 10,094 times1>, Elez said.
Elez has clarified that in most of the rejected cases, the applicant has not submitted one of the documents proving his address outside Kosovo, remembering that the subx0 census process has not been disfellowshipped, as any rejected applicant has been reported for the reasons for his refusal and for the possibility of re-application by submitting the necessary documents for registration”.
According to CEC data, municipalities with the largest number of registered voters outside Kosovo -- out of over 3 thousand Sosh -- are: Suhareka (3,458), Gjakova (3,308) and Dragashi (3,066).
Meanwhile, according to the CEC, Germany with 21,500 and Switzerland with 11,024 are the states with the largest number of registered voters to vote by mail from outside Kosovo.
Elez has clarified that specific voting procedures via mail will be published very soon by the CEC, until the vote begins on September 17th and is closed on October 11th.
In contrast to past election processes, registered voters in these elections will accept the CEC package by two ballot papers, one for mayoral elections and another for municipal assembly elections. According to the CEC, the task of each of the voters is to send the package of ballot papers to one of the CEC mailboxes that will be opened in various states whose addresses will be published by the CEC before the start of the mail vote.
The CEC has clarified that Kosovo citizens who are registered to vote from outside Kosovo will find their name only on the voter list outside Kosovo, as they will leave the voter list within Kosovo, which is distributed in the polls on Election Day, as it is thus required with the General Election Law.
Meanwhile, Kosovo citizens living abroad and who are not registered for vote by mail are on the voters' list within Kosovo, which is distributed in polling stations on Election Day. The data for the voting centre's address can be seen here: https://qv.kqz-x.org. /Periscopi/
