Local elections 2025: Here is the date when the lot is cast and the campaign begins

Central Election Commission spokesman (KQZ), Valmir Elesi, has confirmed that this process will be held on September 3rd or September 4th 2025, as planned by the institution.

“According to the CEC plan, the withdrawal of the lots for the ranking of political subjects in the Local Election Papers for Speakers of the Comunals and the Communist Framework will take place on September 3rd or September 2025,” has declared Elesi for, stressing that the exact date and hour will become known over time.

He has underlined that this activity will be fully transparent and in the presence of representatives of political subjects certified for elections.

In a statement to the Express newspaper, Elez has also announced the date for the start of the election campaign for local elections.

“The period of election campaigning for political subjects and local election candidates for Communists and Communist countries will begin on 13 September and end on 12 October, at 06:59,”, he stressed.
