Kosovo's Democratic Order “stresses that the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo has not yet been constitutionalised. The constitution of the Republic, the regulation of the Assembly and the respective judicial judgments of the Constitutional Court are clear and unequivocal in terms of procedures and conditions of its constitutionalised”, the party's communiqué said.
Any attempt to interpret otherwise or bypass these fundamental provisions constitutes violations of constitutional order and violation of the democratic principles upon which our state is based. The Assembly cannot function and make decisions without previously fulfilling the constitutional reform process, as clearly defined by the Constitution, the Parliament's Labour Rule and Constitutional Court judgments”.
According to the LDK, continued delays in the constitution are damaging the country and hindering normal functioning of institutional life.
The ongoing “Vones in the constitution of the Parliament and in the formation of institutions represent a major damage to the country. These delays are hampering the normal functioning of institutional life, and constitutional, political and moral responsibility and burden falls sharply on LVV and its leader”.
“The Democratic Order of Kosovo remains committed to full respect of constitutional order and democratic rules, ensuring that the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo act in line with constitutional norms and are an example of democratic functioning”.
