Camberaj has been suspended due to the indictment filed last month in a corrupting case. In the same case, Regional Development Minister Fikrim Damka is charged.
Kurti, in presenting the proposal to today's cabinet meeting in office, said that Camberaj's suspension is linked to the suspension of the working relationship for high-class officer at the Regional Development Ministry.
“This is the necessary measure to ensure institutional integrity, given that a criminal procedure for carrying out criminal action has been filed against public administration officials during the exercise of his rounds”, Kurti said.
The proposal has been unanimously approved by the government cabinet. Proposal has voted Minister Fikrim Damka, who is charged with the same case, for the same criminal offence.

For Damka, however, the argument is not the same as the suspended secretary. The minister continues to exercise his position in Kurt's incumbent government, even three weeks after the indictment was established.
The Act against Damka and Camberaj has been set up on 4 July this year by the Special Prosecutor.
They are suspected of overstepping their legal competencies with the aim of benefiting rich for two NGOs “Germin” and “Carias Switzerland” and violation of the rights of other persons, respectively, civil society organisations registered in Kosovo.
