There, as Prime Minister Kurti's office states, it is a special honor for him today, in these ancient mountains that speak with stones and snow, to be there and among those present to celebrate the Rugova Traditional Games together.
The “in these games, where strength, dexterity and wisdom appear, are joining precisely generations to convey not only the values of the Kelmendi tribe and Rugova community, but also the spirit of the community that has preserved this tradition for decades. In these areas and mountains, not only individuals compete, but the customs, legends, and spirituality of our high mountains are resurrected. This manifestation is also an invitation for us as a state and as a society not only to view the heritage as something we preserve in state museums but as something that lives alive, develops, unites us. Games like these are national assets that give life to the territory and deep understanding of belonging”, Kurti said.
Similarly, as reported in the communiqué, Kurti has announced residents of the area and all participants in the beginning of the Kosovo Government's feasibility study on the reconstruction of Payway Red.
I'd like to inform you that two days ago, we started our feasibility study to rebuild the Pee-Kukt street. Reconstruction of the Peja-Kecqi road depending on the feasibility study will be worth a total of 15m euros, while the regulation of this road started three months ago and will cost around 1.7m euros. We as Government of the Republic of Kosovo are not only willing but also interested in investing because of the great natural, cultural, spiritual, national, state-owned value of Rugova's Bjetka, not only for residents of this side”, Kurti said among others.
