The incumbent Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, has hosted the European Union's Special Representative for Kosovo-Serbia Dialogue, Peter Sörensen, at the meeting.
During the meeting, Kurti and Sørensen discussed recent developments, the situation of the non-USi communities with particular emphasis on the Serb community, as well as steps towards full implementation of the Brussels and Ohrid Annex Agreement.
He announced that since April 2024, over 800 citizens have been employed through a government-launched programme, while more than 430 new businesses have been registered since the beginning of last year.
“also, since November 2022, about 200 new Serb members have joined the Kosovo Police”.
Kurti also raised concerns about continuing threats by Serbia's leaders and arbitrary arrests of Kosovo citizens transiting through Serbian territory, demanding a strong response from the international community.
It was a pleasure to visit Peter Scherensen, the EU Special Representative for the Kosovo-Serbia Dialogue.
