Surviving sexual violence during the war in Kosovo and the former Kosovo Assembly delegation, Vasfije Krasniqi-Goodman, has expressed her support for the protest that will be held today, organised in response to, reportedly, the Special Court's “injustice to former KLA leaders”.
Krasniqi-Goodman has explained the reasons he has decided to be part of this protest, emphasising on the need for equal justice and preserving the historic dignity of the liberation war.

The reason why I will be in protest on August 7th is simple: in the face of a world where Serb criminals are still at large, it is unacceptable for our former soldiers to face injustice.
I do not go out to protect individuals, but to protect our collective dignity, our right to equal justice. I'm a citizen of this state who can't sit back as our story tries to be tarnished with double standards.
There cannot be peace without justice, and there cannot be justice without the truth of our liberation war.
The KLA was not a crime. It was a shield to this people.
That's why I'm there on August 7th. For history, for dignity, for Kosovo!/Periscopi/
