Subjecting this measure are the applicants for tourist and business visas. The project envisions 3 levels of guarantees: 5 thousand, 10,000 and $150,000, and will be embassy employees who will determine which amount of applicants should decide, based on the risk criteria for visa violations, one of which is the historical travel.
According to a 2023 report by the Department of Internal Security, 42% of the approximately 11 million foreigners living in the United States have entered on regular deadlines and stopped leaving. The highest percentage of citizens who violated visa deadlines during 2023 has Chad with 50%, Laos with 35% and Haiti with 31%. The figure of Albanian citizens who violated the deadline during 2023 is about 2.3%. Malaui and Zambia, where the pilot project is initially applied, have equally low levels: 10% HINA 14%.
