Croatian media have reported that the Croatian pilot has been arrested along with his Kosovo partner, under suspicion that it has provided sensitive data and then forwarded it. According to these reports, it is about information related to the movements of Serbs in northern Kosovo, as well as KFOR members.
The arrests have sparked great public interest, where part of the media have reported that authorities are also investigating the couple's possible ties with Serbian intelligence services.
Meanwhile, Croatia has pronounced the detention measure against two spying suspects for Serbia, as authorities in Kosovo said they are willing to co-operate on the case, as the “activity of the arrested has been held in Kosovo”.
The Split District Prosecutor announced on August 28th that after accepting the Independent Sector for Military Police Issues the previous day, he has taken the first investigative action and has made a decision to launch investigations against a citizen of the Republic of Croatia (born in 1971) for the criminal act of spying, and against a citizen of the Republic of Serbia (born in 1979) for the same criminal act.
