KFOR has announced that in the municipality of Gjakova on 18 August, it had conducted 12 water dumps in a five-hour period to help extinguish fires. While in the municipality of Kamenica on 11 August, she reacted 11 times during six hours. In Mitrovica, on July 26th, it has reported having conducted 18 air operations for fire extinguishing in a four-hour period, while 39 interventions were held in Drenas on July 25th.
“KFOR remains ready, within its means and capabilities, to support the prevention and management of emergency situations in Kosovo”, KFOR's Facebook report said.
