KB: About 100 businesses without electricity: The damage is many million, the economy will remain dark

The Kosovar Business Alliance today has held a media conference, where its chairman, Agim Sahini, has said that with ZRE's decision to exit businesses to the free energy market, these businesses are facing an unprecedented crisis. He has said KED is violently assisting [...]
He has said that KEDS has violently suspended more than 12,000 electrical distributors, according to him involving more than 200 companies that have more than 10,000 workers.
There are actually about 100 businesses, without power. The move has halted production, created independence in the economy, caused great stress among workers, managers, has seriously damaged Kosovo's safe image of investments for local investors as well as foreign investors. Material damage is many millions, but we still don't have it right. It is unacceptable that as a state institution, Kosovo police are used to assist a private company against other private companies, without court ruling. This is a serious legal violation, an abuse of authority and a direct blow to rule of law and business law”, Sahin has said.
He has said that the UN considers this a serious blow to the country's economy and local producers.
The “Businesses are a pillar of development, creator of other jobs, chief budget contributors where last year approximately 2.5 billion euros contributed to the state budget. We cannot allow them to be treated as enemies, stop and remain unhurt, and the economy remains in darkness. Therefore, the Alliance and production, trade and maid businesses require the immediate interruption of this campaign against businesses. To create an open dialogue with ZRE, KEDS, the business community, including Government itself, to get out of this deep crisis. Transparency and respect of the law, equal treatment of all businesses because this confirms the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo.” has added Sahin.
He has said that if their demands are not taken into account, the UN will take all legal means into Kosovo's highest instance and abroad to protect business rights and ensure rule of law.
Many businesses have confirmed their rights and taken from various international referees. In the future, businesses will also demand outside their own right. Businesses are not guilty, they are victims of an unfair ZRE decision supported by state institutions. If nothing is done, the economy today will become even poorer, tomorrow we will have fewer jobs, less investment and development. The battle of production, trade and maid businesses will continue to the merit site from Kosovo's highest state institutions”, Sahin has added.
KEDS, on Saturday, has begun shutting off businesses that have not entered electricity supply contracts after their release to the free market, News News.net writes, broadcasts Periscope.
