His statements come after the Israeli government's official announcement of the takeover of Gaza's city.
In a direct post on the platform X coordinate (former-Twitter), Gantz said “Netanyah did nothing”.
He stressed that the current government has repeatedly failed to make strategic decisions that could have brought lasting benefits to Israel, such as reaching a permanent ceasefire and destroying Hamas' capacities.
According to him, this government has had clear opportunities to ensure a decisive victory in the fight against Hamas, but these have been abused due to the lack of vision and continuing delays in action.
Israel's “Offices have lost valuable time and have squandered great military gains that were achieved with great sacrifices”, Gantz added.
These criticisms reflect deep divisions within the Israeli political spectrum about how conflict is managed in Gaza.
