Israel kills 28 Palestinian children every day in Gaza U n NICEF

According to the United Nations, approximately 28 children are being killed daily in Gaza because of continued Israeli bombings and restrictions on providing much - needed humanitarian aid. “Death from bombing. The agency stressed that children in Gaza urgently need food, clean water, medicine and protection, adding: “more than anything else, they need a ceasefire, TANI”.

As Al Jazeera points out, Israel has killed more than 18,000 children every hour since the start of its Gaza war.

At least 60,933 Palestinians have been killed and 150527 others have been wounded since October 7th, 2023, when Hamas attacked southern Israel.

And in the last 24 hours, at least eight Palestinians, including a child, have died of starvation in Gaza, further writes Al Jazeera.

A total of 188 people, including 94 hungry children, have died as Israel continues to block aid and kill aid seekers.

For those who survive, childhood has been replaced by a daily struggle for basics of life”, Al Jazeera's Axel Zaimovic said.

While Kadim Khufu Basim, a displaced Palestinian child, said he is obliged to support a family of six because his father is injured and is receiving treatment in Egypt.

I like to play soccer. But now I'm selling cookies. My childhood is gone. Since the war began, we have no longer had childhood”, Basim told Al Jazeera.

Under international law, children like Basim are supposed to be spared the effects of war.

But in Gaza, these children suffered most under Israel's military campaign. Schools are deliberately targeted, water facilities are destroyed, food supplies are systematically blocked. And basic childhood rights... education, play, proper nutrition... have been used as weapons against a whole generation of”, Zaimovic points out. /Periscope
