The Constitutional Prosecutor in Prizren, in close co-operation with Kosovo Police Inspectorate (IPK), has implemented today a co-ordinated action that has ended with the raid of four locations and the arrest of four suspected persons, reports Periscope.
The operation is the result of a several-month investigation that has been conducted with professionalism and dedication by IPK investigators in co-ordination with the Founding Prosecutor in Prizren.
Among those arrested is a senior Kosovo Police officer with the colonel's rank. According to the IPK, there is reasonable suspicion of involvement in criminal acts of duty and evasion, which are sanctioned by the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo.
Currently, investigators are continuing investigative actions on the ground to provide additional evidence and to completely whiteen the case.
As part of the administrative procedure, the IPK has recommended the suspension of the police colonel.
Kosovo's Police Inspectorate resurfaces the dedication of law enforcement institutions for inter-institutional co-operation and the fight against any form of crime, including one conducted by public officials.
