Hysa: Albin Kurti erasing the North, risking loss of Kosovo

Historian Ylber Hysa, former Kosovo diplomat on Wednesday, was critical of the government's political approach to the crisis in northern Kosovo, adding that he also notes a risk of undoing democratic achievements in the country, from what has been demonstrated by current power, Periscopi broadcasts. Former Ambassador to Macedonia North and [...]
With the power of this executive these values and Kosovo's reputation being violated, he considers Hysa, as seen by the approach of international diplomacy.

He added further the recent political crisis risks more than exceeding a constitutionality, violates Western democratic values in the country where the consequences will be grave.
I want to say that you risk releasing the North to lose Kosovo does not seem a long-term, useful account for this people and for this country. Even this entire vacuum, which is risking a political crisis into a constitution, risks these major achievements of Kosovo from that serious transition to democracy that we mentioned, since if for nothing Kosovo is recognised in the region for good elections, for free rotation of power and respect of the Constitutional Court. These are theories, they are practical parameters that have helped Kosovo greatly in positive perception by international and particularly Western partners that have invested. The achievement of independence has made sense with parameters that respect the values of the West, exactly what we've mentioned. Their risk is problematic, and especially a fainting and undoing of this image that Kosovo has won by far” said Hysa.
Hysa added that it is a sensitive global situation and that Kosovo should see to it that it is not an obstacle at least, although it is not certain that Kurti and Vetevendosje's antagonist approach is the continuation of a partnership with the West and the consequences may be worse than it is now, as Kosovo stressed being ignored by the partners.
When we talk about Albin Kurt, we don't talk about a man, we talk about an ideology, mentality. This mentality has challenged the international partnership since the public statement that one of the American officials is naive to the last one, the misuse of KSF, I believe, ate an international slap. We are talking about a mentality which is an unbeliever of the entire late political-historic tradition of Kosovo that did as it is today. And this is happening at an important global moment, with capital changes happening around the world, with leaders coming as Trump, with Russia-Ukraine's challenging struggle threatening to change the world system what we know, the intervention in Iran, Gaza. So it's very problematic to fight in this world with such dangerous priorities for you to pay attention. The best thing is not to forget right now. I know it's not Kosovo's interest to forget at this moment, but I'm not sure this is Albin Kurt's interest. Perhaps he wants to be left alone and do what he started, do a political and social engineering within this country, and make the republic a third. I am not sure that a politician's interest as Mr. Kurti is necessarily the interest of Kosovo, taking into account all of this sad reality that we are living in. I worry that responding to a West with such priorities, tired of us, would be the greatest punishment to be forgotten. Just stop messing with us”.
