Heart: Government Kurti damaged health, Constitution stopped

Democratic League of Kosovo MP (LDK), Armend Zemaj, has accused Kurti Government and the Ministry of Health of Mismanagement and disability over the past four years, saying this has brought serious consequences to citizens and patients in the country. In a Facebook post, Zemaj has reacted after the court's recent decision [...]
In a Facebook post, Zemaj has reacted after the Constitutional Court's recent ruling, which has concluded that Article 1 of Article 11 of the SKKUK station, adopted on December 27, 2023 by the Government, is not in line with Article 51 (Health and Social Protection), Article 7 (Velrat) and Article 92. (General Scripture) of the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo.
According to Zemaj, a dangerous approach of the incumbent government has been banned through this decision, aimed at weakening the public health sector in favor of private sector interests, often through fraud-covered and conducted in a way that is used to do so.
This approach was banned by the Constitutional Court today. Changes in the new KKKUK statute aimed at reducing the delivery of health services and creating inequality between the public sector and the private one,” has written Zemaj.
He also criticised the lack of a new health law and lack of a new sectoral strategy, saying the amount of mismanagement has caused major damage that cannot be easily repaired. According to him, the policies implemented have reflected more the interests of pharmaceutical groups than the care of citizens and patients.
Hospital Service and University Clinic of Kosovo ( Sa SKUK) was sent to the Constitutional Court last year by the ombudsman, with suspicion that services through it were closing in the public sector to favour the private sector.
These claims were supported by MP Zemaj, the head of the Federation of Kosovo Health Unions, as well as by the Chairman of the Kosovo Medical Oda, while opposed by incumbent Prime Minister Albin Kurti./Periscopi/
