It has been sent to the Foundation Court in Pristina, deputy director of the Office for Kosovo in the Serbian Government, Igor Popovic.
He was seen bound hands and police escorts.
At this hearing session, a review of the plea agreement reached between accused Igor Popovic and the Special Prosecutor of the Republic of Kosovo is expected.
On August 5th, the Kosovo Special Prosecutor announced that she had handed over the indictment to Popovovic in this court for “inciting division and failure to endure”, indicating that the Serbian official had pleaded guilty, reports EOTransmton Periscope.
“I.P. has pleaded guilty to the criminal offense. On the basis of this, the Special Prosecutor of the Republic of Kosovo, along with the indictment, has handed over to the Constitutional Court in Pristina even the plea agreement”, the prosecution reported.
The prosecution charges Popovovic with deliberately and deliberately promoting and publicly spreading hatred and inadequacy among ethnic groups during a speech given on Rahovec's Great Hoça on July 18th.
During that speech, Popovic, among other things, had named the Kosovo Liberation Army “terrorist organisation”. He was detained the same day at the Brnjak border crossing, connecting Kosovo with Serbia.
Following the 48-hour police ban, Popovovici was assigned a month-long detention measure. His lawyer appealed the verdict, but the second degree of the judiciary also gave the Foundation's decision on July 31st. /Periscope/
