In a public statement, the group has rejected one of Israel's main demands to end the war, saying they would not give up “rights for armed resistance” without full and sovereign citizenship for Palestinians.
In parallel with this attitude, Hamas has published a second video of Israeli hostage Evyatar David in just two days. On images published on Saturday, David appears to be evidently weakened as he digs a hole that he has, according to his words, prepared as his own grave.
The indirect negotiations between Hamas and Israel supported by international mediators for a 60-day ceasefire and a hostage release agreement have been interrupted last week, ending without results.
