Gunshots at a US military base wound 5 soldiers

Five soldiers were shot at a <x0-incident active shootout” in the area of the 2nd Bled Brigade War Team, which is part of Fort Stewart's base earlier today.

Confirming the incident on their Facebook page, officials at the base said wounded soldiers were treated by emergency personnel in the country and transferred to the hospital for further treatment, the BBC reports.

She says the armed person was arrested at 11:35 local time and there is no active threat to community”.

The incident remains under investigation.
