According to official data, the quakes were recorded at 12:49 local time, with an epic 11km northwest of the city of Messíni and about 126km south of the southeast of Patra.
The quake occurred at a small depth of just five miles [5 km], making it more sensitive to the surface. At present, no material or hurt damage is reported, but Greek authorities are on alert in case of follow-up.
Volunteers were also felt in other cities around the Peloponnese region.
