Kosovo Government spokesman Progress Kryeziu has reacted after reporting on the involvement of a Serb citizen from Mitrovica, with the initials A.M., arrested in Croatia for allegedly spying on Serbia's account.

He denied any claims of its connection to the Kosovo prime minister's office.

“At the top of times we want to make it clear to the public that the prime minister's office consists of permanent civilian staff and the cabinets of the prime minister and deputy prime ministers, which consists of political appointees,”, Kryeziu said. He stressed that access to confidential information is the limited “x3> and that no leaks could have occurred inside.

The spokesman recalled that Serbia has stepped up its intelligence activities in Kosovo after losing control in the country's north and cited several previous cases of spying arrests. Serbia has increased spying activities... We have constantly raised our concerns about Serbian intelligence activities on the territory of the Republic of Kosovo,” he added.

In the conclusion, Kryeziu said Kosovo's security and intelligence institutions are willing to co-operate with Croatian authorities for the full whiteening of the case. Our <x0 institutions are on full alert to co-operate with Croatia's institutions for further development of investigations and full whiteening of activities and the action network,”, it concluded.

Full Posting:

Regarding claims that the person with the A.M. initials, Serbian Mitrovica, who has been arrested by Croatian authorities for allegedly spying on Serbia, has also had connections with the Kosovo prime minister's office, at the beginning of the time we want to make clear to the public that the prime minister's office consists of permanent civilian staff and cabinets of prime minister and deputy prime ministers, which are composed of political appointments. Furthermore, we want to stress that access to important and confidential information of the Prime Minister's Office is strictly limited.
So we reject any claim that the person in question may have provided important and confidential information to the Office of the Prime Minister.
In recent years, as a result of losing control in the north through the criminal network led by Milan Radojicic, Serbia has increased spying activities and we have constantly raised our concerns about Serbian intelligence activities on the territory of the Republic of Kosovo. Remember, in July a Kosovo Police Lieutenant, of Serbian ethnicity, was arrested on suspicion based on spying activities in the Republic of Kosovo, for the interests of the Agency for Security and Information (BIA), aimed at endangering security in general and Kosovo Police operations in particular. In February, however, another person had been arrested on suspicion of spying, as well as Serbian ethnicity, which worked in the OSCE mission in Kosovo. Our security and intelligence institutions are working steadily and with high alert, and success is opposing Serbia's malicious and destabilising efforts in Kosovo.
Since the A.M. activity. and Croatian citizens, both arrested in Croatia, have been held in Kosovo, our institutions are on full alert to co-operate with Croatia's institutions for further development of investigations and the full dawning of activities and the action network.
