That is how they announce from the EU's Periscope office, in which they also indicate that this meeting is expected to occur in the nearest possible period.
“EU High Representative Sorensen is visiting Belgrade in preparation for an upcoming meeting of chief negotiators in the nearest possible”, expressed by the EU Office on Periscope.
Otherwise, the EU's envoy for dialogue had visited Pristina on 6 August, where Kosovo officials had discussed implementing the Ohrid Agreement.
Asked by reporters on the current state of dialogue for normalising relations between Kosovo and Serbia, Sorensen said briefly that the process is “active”.
The agreement was reached between the two sides in 2023.
Although not signed, the EU insists the agreement is binding.
The 11 provisions document, among other things, envisions a level of self-government for the Serb community in Kosovo, mutual recognition of state symbols, avoiding Serbia's blocking of Kosovo's membership in international organisations, and the obligation for Pristina and Belgrade to implement all previous agreements reached in dialogue.
The latest run of the Kosovo dialogue (Serbia), with EU mediation, was held 10 June.
