Participants in the meeting that was held at KFOR headquarters “Camp City” in Pristina were also EU Ambassador to Kosovo Aivo Orav, as well as EULEX mission chief Giovanni Pietro Barbano.
In an official report, KFOR suggests that the meeting focused on the latest developments on the security situation in Kosovo and on KFOR's continued support for the EU-launched dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina.
General Bardoni's “underlined the importance of sustainable co-operation with European institutions in Kosovo and among international partners engaged in regional stability.
The visit testifies to NATO and the EU's common commitment to lasting peace, regional dialogue and a safe environment for all communities in Kosovo” declares KFOR.
KFOR continues to implement its mandate based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 in 1999 to contribute to a safe environment for all people and communities living in Kosovo. /Periscope/
